Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Transportation Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. As a Permanent Transportation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing transportation projects to improve traffic flow, safety, and accessibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traffic engineering, transportation planning, and project management.

Responsibilities:

• Develop transportation plans and designs for highways, streets, and other transportation systems
• Conduct traffic studies and analyze data to identify traffic patterns, congestion, and safety issues
• Create traffic models using software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Sunchro, Vissim, and InRoads
• Develop traffic signal timing plans and coordinate with local agencies to ensure proper signal operation
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders
• Manage transportation projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control
• Collaborate with other engineers, planners, and stakeholders to ensure project success
• Stay current with transportation engineering trends and advancements in technology

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of experience in transportation engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices
• Experience with transportation planning and project management
• Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, Sunchro, Vissim, and InRoads
• Familiarity with FLDOT standards and guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
