Location: Hybrid Remote (Ballantyne, NC; Buffalo, NY; Greater Milwaukee, WI) Position Overview: The Senior Manager of Business Intelligence (“Sr.

BI Manager”) is responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of the CMCO BI System and related projects.

Improved data management and critical business analytics are paramount for Columbus McKinnon (“CMCO”) to achieve both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic goals.

The Company is 1 year into the BI journey and requires a full-time leader to advance and mature the BI System.

The Sr.

BI Manager will manage the Business Intelligence Team (“BI Team”), which is composed of Data Engineers, Business Intelligence Developers and FP&A Analysts.

This individual will act as the Project Manager and Integration Manager, while partnering with geographically dispersed business and finance leaders to define and achieve “global parity” in reporting capabilities used world-wide.

Collectively, the BI Team will support executive decisions and empower stakeholders to understand their business, customers and vendors in new ways.

BI Manager will have experience in data and business integrations, with a preference for proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Power BI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain a Business Intelligence roadmap and detailed project plan that will support institutional priorities; prioritize business insight requests to balance the tactical and strategic information needs of the business.

• Provide high level conceptual and technical expertise and understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence best practices.

• Act as a Leader and Influencer to optimize the existing team and ancillary support staff to advance global analytics capabilities.

• Manage 3rd party developer relationships to supplement team resources, as needed, to achieve core or supplementary implementations.

• Collaborate and extensively investigate, analyze and interpret business information needs based on a strong understanding of business processes, drivers, and priorities.

• Develop and implement governance of pre-and post-implementation evaluations over all activities to ensure outcomes achieved meet institutional objectives.

• Identify data quality issues and supporting information governance by participating in necessary activities and assisting in the development of and adherence to database and development standards.

• Work with Master Data team to review and assist in data cleanup exercises to map and simplify data across varying systems
• Complete training(s) throughout the organization for stakeholders to best utilize available tools to source data.

• Create and foster an environment that values and promotes an inclusive approach to problem solving and continuous learning.

• Other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:
• Experience utilizing Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Applications, such as Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Power BI.

• A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills, technical, data driven and detailed oriented.

• Able to understand and anticipate stakeholder needs in each region and think big when recommending solutions.

• Comfortable navigating in an ambiguous environment; know how to confirm and reconfirm assumptions.

• Able to harmonize disparate points of view and apply knowledge of Operational and Financial use cases to propose the right solution.

• Ability to analyze large amounts of data from throughout our worldwide organization for senior management.

• Strong Microsoft Excel data processing skills.

• Basic understanding of US GAAP and other accounting regulations to ensure credibility of financial data outputs.

• Detail-oriented; Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves at a granular level and work with team members to get to the root of issues and reach desired outcomes.

• Ability to work in a fast paced, highly productive environment where projects and direction can change quickly while creating thorough and detailed designs and documentation.

• Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated.

• Strong initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Strategic thinker and problem solver.

• Project Management Experience, managing a project plan.

• Base knowledge of ERP systems, manufacturing or factory operations, financial data; understand the meaning of the data and how it can be extracted and utilized in different constructs for analytical purposes.

• Must be able to explain technical concepts and analysis clearly to a diverse audience, including business and technical teams and senior executives, and be able to translate business objectives into actionable analyses.

• Experience with M&A data integration, a plus.

• Ability to work on a diverse team or with a diverse range of coworkers.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, data engineering, computer science, statistics, or equivalent experience.

• 8 years of experience in an analytical role, requiring manipulation and distillation of large datasets.

• 2 years of experience managing teams or equivalent as a project leader for systems implementations and integrations.

• Experience with one or more reporting tools such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Power BI or Microsoft Azure.

• 15% travel may be required within Columbus McKinnon Corp’s global footprint.
