Abbott Rapid Diagnostics North America, LLC’s Orlando site is part of Global Business Services (GBS) within the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Division.

The Project Manager’s prime responsibility is to ensure that the project deliverables results within the specified tolerances of time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits.

The Project Manager is also responsible for the project producing a result capable of achieving the benefits defined in the Business Case and Project Board.

This role serves as an advisor the Orlando Leadership Team on project assessment, priorities and risks.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage and facilitate projects that deliver change to the organization at a global or local level to ensure change is controlled, aligned with strategic objective and delivered within the time, cost and quality parameters set out in the business case.
  • Ensure project team compliance with applicable company guidelines and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain project management methodology documentation and training resources.
  • Train, coach and mentor the project teams in methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Complete quality reviews, risk reviews and independent project health checks.
  • Directly create, or support the creation of, the project documentation that will be used throughout the change lifecycle to ensure performance monitoring and alignment with corporate strategy and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Leadership teams and project priorities and objectives.
  • Liaise with external suppliers or account managers.
  • Lead and motivate the project team.
  • Ensure the behavioral, technical and administrative expectations of team members are established.
  • Manage the information flows between the directing and delivering levels of the project.
  • Manage the production of the required project outputs, taking responsibility for overall progress and use of resources and initiating corrective action where necessary.
  • Establish and manage the project’s procedures
    – risk management, communication, issues and change control.
  • Establish and manage the project controls
    – monitoring and reporting
  • Advise the Project Board of any deviations or risks from the plan.
  • Unless appointed to another person perform the work stream lead role.
  • Engage in process improvement activities within GBS.
  • Execute applicable Quality System processes and monitor the accuracy of service provided
  • Communicate the importance of the Quality System to all employees and report on its effectiveness

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Minimum 3-5 years project management required
  • CAPM, PMP or PRINCE2 Certification required
  • Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Preferred

  • Business Process Management, Lean or Six Sigma Certifications Preferred
  • Quality Management System and/or ISO experience Preferred
  • Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
  • Must have the proven ability to prioritize with appropriate urgency
  • Must have experience working with multiple, cross-functional stakeholders
  • Must be able to demonstrate planning, problem solving, negotiations and facilitation skills
