Position Title: Overnight Assistant Front Desk Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Assists the Director of the Front Office in supervising night account and front office operations. Ensures guest and employee satisfaction and maximizes the financial performance of the department. Position is responsible for supervising night operations. This position directs and works with managers and employees to carry out procedures ensuring an efficient check in and check out process.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all overnight activities to ensure guest satisfaction and safety in the Front Office department.
• Conduct briefing for all team members during the overnight shift.
• Emphasizes guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focuses on continuous improvement.
• Handles guest problems and complaints effectively.
• Participates in the development and implementation of corrective action plans based on review of comment cards and guest satisfaction results.
• Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
• Supervises the night audit team member
• Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with team members.
• Manages day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the guests daily.
• Ensures compliance with all Front Office policies, standards, and procedures.
• Handles complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts with guests.
• Improves service by communicating and assisting team members to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
• Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.
• Sets a positive example for guest relations.
• Displays outstanding hospitality skills.
• Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
• Informs and/or updates the team members on relevant information in a timely manner.
• Communicates critical information from pre- and post-convention meetings to the Front Office staff.
• Participates in department meetings.

Education and Experience

Shift: Flexible

Day(s) Required: FLEXIBLE including Holidays and Weekends

Minimum Requirements:

• 1-2 years experience with Night Audit supervisory or a related position.
• Must have flexible schedule, available nights, weekends, and holidays
• Preferred- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand/walk/step for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to bend, reach and squat

• Frequently standing up and moving about the Resort

Anticipated Start Date: Two (2) weeks from date of job offer
