Marketing Manager (Punta Gorda)

Are you an experienced marketer who enjoys leading go-to-market strategies for high-tech B2B products?

The SSL Store, a leading website security solutions distributor headquartered in St Petersburg, FL, has an immediate opening for an agile and versatile Marketing Manager to help drive product sales through effective branding, positioning, and go to marketing efforts. This is a hybrid in-office/remote role (work from home most days).

Success in this role depends on strong strategic thinking, sharp hands-on marketing skills, and the ability to quickly gain a deep understanding of our customers, the technical problems they face, and how our products help solve them. Because of the technical nature of our customers and products, a strong interest in and aptitude for technical subjects is important.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for leading go-to-market strategies and marketing campaigns end-to-end, including:

  • Go-to-market strategy. Create and execute end-to-end marketing strategies to drive product sales and growth.
  • Competitive intelligence. Gain market intelligence be the expert on our partners and customers who are they, how they buy, what their business priorities are, and their key buying criteria. Gain a thorough understanding of the global competitive landscape in order to capitalize on value gaps and opportunities.
  • Positioning. Develop and communicate value propositions to differentiate our offerings from competitors.
  • Write compelling copy and/or content for our website(s) and other mediums that considers all aspects of what it takes to win online and supports the company s brand vision. Develop positioning and messaging that uses sales copywriting best practices to resonate with our target buyer personas and drive conversions/sales/revenue.
  • Articulate the company s brand and unique value proposition(s) throughout a wide range of marketing campaigns and materials. Partner with the design team to create collateral that effectively communicates our company brand and message through words and visual elements.
  • Measurement. Use marketing analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing programs on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes. Follow and analyze market trends to identify opportunities and properly position the company and its offerings.
  • Marketing campaigns. Plan, coordinate and/or execute effective marketing campaigns; especially digital marketing campaigns such as email marketing, content marketing, digital ad campaigns, and marketing automation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of marketing experience.
  • Bachelor s Degree in Marketing or equivalent experience.
  • Strong aptitude for understanding and selling technical products to technical buyers.
  • B2B marketing experience is a must.
  • Wants to work in an agile technology company where project phases are measured in hours or days, not weeks or months.
  • Experience related to cybersecurity, web hosting, cloud computing, and/or software development preferred.
  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets. Experience with Google Analytics and PowerBI a plus.
  • Strong content and/or copywriting skills.
  • Experienced in creating and managing digital marketing campaigns.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
