Job Summary and Qualifications

Nuclear Medical Technologist Supervisor

Our Imaging Teams are a committed, caring group of colleagues. We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Supervisor to join our team. As our new Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. You will perform these procedures in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. We prioritize patient care. Your tasks and responsibilities may include:

  • You will use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans.
  • You will prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians’ orders. You may administer and record dosages as well.
  • You will perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film.
  • You will position patients and adjust immobilization devices.
  • You will compassionately explains procedures to patients and addresses concerns.
  • You will monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation. 
  • You may assist with transporting patients.

Qualifications:

    • Vocational/Technical Schooling
    • Associate Degree Graduate of an accredited and AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program
    • Current/Active Florida Nuclear Medicine License
    • Minimum of two (2) year of recent experience as a Nuclear Med Technologist required
    • Current American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association upon hire; ACLS within 6 month of hire
    • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
