Pay: $80,000-$90,000 annually plus bonus

Essential Job Duties:

Manages and performs all work activities required to maintain the efficient and effective operation of the kitchen.
Monitors compliance with safety and sanitation, code of conduct, work rules, and works with management and human resources to implement appropriate and timely corrective action.
Promotes effective strategies and employee engagement approaches to instill team support of organizational values, priorities and objectives.
Assists management with reviewing financial transactions and monitoring the budget to ensure that expenditures stay within budget limitations.
Oversees the production of high-quality food, and the high standards of performance of all BOH employees.
Oversees the cleanliness and maintenance of BOH equipment
Assists in ensuring superior Health Department scores with a proactive approach to checklists and protocol.

Education, Experience and Certification:

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Chef or Kitchen Manager in a similar role
Minimum 4 years of experience supervising employees in BOH or FOH operations

Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to effectively engage others verbally
Ability to listen and speak in basic English in order to maintain effective communications in the performance of essential job functions
Ability to read and comprehend data sources, written work instructions, policies, procedures and other work materials in English in order to perform essential duties in accordance with safety, sanitation and operational standards and trainings
Knowledge of basic grammar and writing principles in order to compose ideas, work instructions and directives, corrective actions, and other communications in writing
Knowledge of safety codes and regulations related to front-of-house and back-of-house operations
Knowledge of supervision and performance management principles
Strong time management and organization skills
Ability to pay attention to details
Working knowledge of financial and budgeting principles
