Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Highway Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Civil Engineering, Roadway Design, and Highway construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining the state’s highways and roadways. The candidate must have a minimum of 4+ years of experience in the field and be proficient in Microstation, OpenRoads, SUDA, FDOT, and DOT.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design roadway and highway projects, including plans, specifications, and estimates for construction.
  • Perform engineering calculations and analysis to ensure the safety and efficiency of roadway and highway designs.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure construction meets design specifications and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and government agencies to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical support to project teams, including reviewing and approving design plans and providing guidance on construction methods and materials.
  • Prepare and present reports on project progress and status to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4-12+ years of experience in Civil Engineering, Roadway Design, and Highway construction.
  • Proficient in Microstation, OpenRoads, SUDA, FDOT, and DOT.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
