Job Summary and Qualifications

Nuclear Medical Technologist

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Northside Hospital, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. You will perform these procedures in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist include but may not be limited to:

• Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans
• Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians’ orders
• Administer and record dosages
• Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film
• Position patients and adjust immobilization devices
• Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address concerns
• Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation
• May also assist with transporting patients as needed

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• Clear/Active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
• Minimum of one (1) year recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• ARRT (N) and/or CNMT certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Knowledge of specialty equipment tools to include GAMMA cameras
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
