Follows a number of specified procedures as prescribed in the work instructions or slightly varied in sequence.

This would include, but not be limited to, performing computer transactions on manufacturing orders, pulling raw materials and components for manufacturing orders, putting stock away in defined inventory locations.

Handle hazardous raw materials and finished goods.

Operate fork truck and other machines on a regular basis.

Job Model: On-Site All fully remote positions will require you to travel on site 2-4 times per month depending upon business needs at your own expense.

Hybrid positions will require employees to work both on-site and remote each week under a schedule that has been determined and agreed upon by you and your manager.

On-Site positions will require employees to work on-site for each of their scheduled shifts.

Responsibility Unpacks vendor purchased items and arranges them within the appropriate stocking locations.

Direct the work of others as it relates to training.

Exercise sound judgment in decision making that is in critical nature related to quality of product and safety of operation.

Ensures that all raw materials and components are stored and arranged properly in the appropriate stocking locations.

Must be capable of following instructions in manufacturing plans and manufacturing orders.

Consults with Quality Control to ensure that the batch card information is accurate and weights and percentages are correct.

Retrieves raw materials and components from Warehouse.

Works closely with TP/ARC members on a daily basis on issues related inventory problems, and overall material movement within the manufacturing floor.

Returns raw materials and materials to inventory.

Operates fork truck.

Sets up multiples Work Stations and equipments as specified by shop orders.

Must be capable of setting up and operating several different machines.

Performs basic quality control inspection on raw materials and packaging materials for proper conditions including weights and cleanliness.

May perform other manufacturing support functions like filling, compounding and training in various functions as needed.

Must be capable of utilizing companys business system.

Disposes properly of hazardous waste in satellite accumulation drums.

Cleans equipments and work area according to safety procedures.

Performs basic maintenance functions on all machines, including general cleaning, replacing filters, etc.

Complexity of Duties Works with minimal supervision.

Must be capable of working independently.

General instructions provided as needed.

Must be capable of exercising judgment and discretion and make adjustments to product as required.

Ability to do heavy lifting up to approx.

70 pounds and handle drums of 400-700 lbs via rolling etc.

Must be capable of setting up and operating different equipments within the manufacturing operation.

Education and/or Experience High School or Trade School preferred.

One plus years in manufacturing environment desirable.

At least 4 year experience in chemical processing environment preferred.

Other Skill and Abilities Basic computer skills, Interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and work well with others.

Ability to train entry-level employees for compounders and packing operators.

Ability to work in a physically uncomfortable environment, i.e.

excess heat and noise.

Ability to handle hazardous materials.

Understanding of chemical processing and an appreciation for safety issues.

Must be trained in spill response and safety equipment.

Ability to understand and adhere to all safety procedures.

Must possess strong math skills.

Moderate to high levels of heat, noise and fumes exists daily in the work environment.

Position works with hazardous chemicals.

Ability to wear a respirator required.

Ability to operate fork trucks.

Must be able to work with blocked isocyanate.
