Lead Quality Process Control Engineer, Special Processes – Orlando, FL

Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC) Orlando is seeking a Lead Quality Process Control Engineer (QPCE) to oversee the Special Process Program for Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) .

Oversight includes all programs, work sites/centers and SRAs/Depots.

The candidate will be responsible for guidance and support as a Quality Engineer.

The selected candidate will team with Materials Engineering for LMC material and process specification changes and/or creation as well as review/approve new materials or changes to material control as defined by our company’s procedures.

Additionally, candidate will be responsible in providing all appointed Special Process Leads (SPLs) the required special process training, QPCE stamp training, special process checklist guidance, use of Quality and Mission Success (Q&MS) Examiner as the tool to document LMM&FC special process schedules, value added risk-based checklists, and assessments.

Experience in the company’s policies and procedures is a must.

Travel will be required to visit all-offsites and a Special

Process summit at a designated site and date as necessary.

A level 4 employee typically has 9
– 15 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
Engineering degree at the Bachelor level or above

Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance

Ability to travel

Must be able to obtain or hold an active passport

Demonstrated change agent, critical and creative thinker

Experience with manufacturing processes, e.g.

welding, brazing, laser welding, epoxy/sealant application, painting, soldering, cable & harness fab, etc.

Excellent inter-personal and skills; demonstrated ability to navigate and form effective relationships with diverse teams to deliver positive results

Ability to work independently and objectively to assess program performance and risk of a wide variety of program types.

Ability to teach up to 36 Quality Engineering students in a virtual and/or face to face environment.

Effective communication skills: written, oral, listening and technical writing.

Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics.

Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques.

Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex.

Experience in disposition of non-conforming products

Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement.

Advanced experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance

Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management

Experience in the company’s policies and procedures is a must

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Desired Skills:
Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt certification

Special Process Engineering Experience

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)

SAP application experience

Experience with use of inspection gages and measuring equipment

Advanced AS9100 Interpretation and application experience.

Experience working with Government customers

Effective communication skills: written, oral, listening and technical writing

Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration

Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality systems such as International (ISO), aerospace (AS), and FAA regulations
