Group Facilitator

Description:

URP Detox is a primary substance use disorder treatment facility in Riviera Beach, Florida seeking an experienced, passionate, and energetic group facilitator to join our team. We offer flexible work hours and competitive pay.

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION

1. Demonstrates knowledge of chemical dependency and addictions and utilizes knowledge and skills to access and meet the client’s treatment needs and requirements.
2. Documents as required in client charts within a 24 hour period from services provided.
3. Conducts process groups, educational, chemical dependency, and other groups as assigned.
4. Ability to work as a team member, demonstrating maturity under stress and objectivity.
5. Demonstrates good communication skills.
6. Performs in a professional manner and role models a positive image of substance abuse.
7. Reports abuse of clients’ rights immediately.
8. Participates in obtaining the client’s informed consent for procedures, treatments, and research, as appropriate.
9. Acts decisively and effectively in managing staff, clients, and other employees during emergency situation.
10. Performs other capacities as needed.
11. Being sensitive to Cultural Issues of a patient based on their job position
12. Reporting Suicidality/Homicide of a patient based to their job position.
13. Ability of competency and understanding to Addition based on their job position.
14. Reporting and responding to issues of Trauma of a patient based on their job position.
15. Reporting and responding to issues of Dual – Diagnosis issues of a patient based on their job position.

Requirements:

1. EDUCATION:

• Preferably graduation from an accredited college or university with a health-related degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

2. EXPERIENCE:

• Preferably a minimum of 2 years’ experience with chemical dependency and/or dual diagnosed clients.

3. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

• Preferably Licensed, registered and/or actively working towards certification to practice clinical discipline, if applicable.

4. AGE SPECIFIC INDIVIDUALS SERVED/RESPONSIBILITY:

• Adults

Hours: TBD – Flexible

Pay Range $65 to $100 per hour

commensurate with experience.
