Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our small, but mighty business in the manufacturing industry. As a Controller, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our company, ensuring that all financial statements are accurate and compliant with accounting standards. You will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies that support our business goals. This is a full-time position that offers excellent benefits and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations of the company, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and analysis of financial results
• Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company’s business goals
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making by the executive team
• Manage the company’s cash flow, including forecasting and monitoring of working capital and capital expenditures
• Ensure that all tax filings and other regulatory reporting requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers
• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• CPA certification required
• 5+ years of experience in a Controller or similar role in the manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS
• Experience managing financial operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use financial data to drive business decisions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience with ERP systems and other financial software tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing accounting team.
