Part- Time IT Helpdesk Technician

This is a Full-time position in Jacksonville, FL posted December 15, 2021.

We are currently looking for a Part Time IT Help Desk Technician to join our team.

This position will work from our Jacksonville, Florida home office and will report to the CFO.

Our Technician will help our end users solve technical problems involving Windows PC’s, desktop applications, anti-virus software, Windows servers, smartphones, printer and network gear.

Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
Troubleshoot complex issues and also help to image laptops and deploy/hook up new hire equipment (monitors, phones, printers, etc.)
Provides on-going support for computer hardware problems, software issues and updates and connectivity issues
New user provisioning and offboarding tasks
Remote VPN support and client networking support
Windows PC’s installation, set-up, troubleshoot and repair
Desktop applications installation, set-up, troubleshoot and repair
Anti-virus software installation, set-up, troubleshoot and repair
Windows server troubleshoot and repair
Company smartphone set-up, troubleshoot and repair
Printer, fax and scan support, installation, set-up, troubleshoot and repair
Provide excellent on-site customer service and support to all end-users
Completes administrative tasks such as hardware inventory, shipping, testing and minor break/fix of hardware
Works independently or as a team member on new applications, processes or projects
Diagnoses/resolves end-user problems including recognition, isolation, research of software/hardware errors/features if required and problem resolution
All other duties as assigned
The successful IT Helpdesk Technician candidate will possess:
High School Diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience Degree in IT, Computer Science or relevant field desired
2+ years of technical support or helpdesk experience
Tech savvy with working knowledge of remote support, basic networking, and hardware issues
Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues over phone or email
Strong technical problem-solving skills
Customer-oriented with strong attention to detail
Able to exercise independent judgement, resourcefulness and effective problem-solving techniques Bachelors’ degree in construction management, engineering or related field
Customer focus – strives for consistently high level of service to internal and external customers and pursues customer feedback to help meet expectations
– effective in dealing with ambiguity and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions

Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel)
Must be eligible to work in the US and have a valid drivers license
