As a Cardiovascular Technician, you’ll have the opportunity to train in different areas of our state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab. Technicians take part in cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology procedures, structural heart procedures and other tests and treatments. Your primary responsibilities will include:
· Assisting nurses and other caregivers as patients undergo procedures.
· Maintaining adequate supplies in the lab and equipment quality controls.
· Performing scrubbing and monitoring duties during procedures.
· Preparing patients for procedures and helping with post-procedure care.
The ideal candidate has:
· Certificate from a cardiovascular lab technology program or school of radiology.
· Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
· Certified or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT) preferred.
· Previous cath lab experience preferred.
· Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologists with related experience and educational background may also be considered for this role.
Cardiovascular technicians will have the opportunity to learn many aspects of cardiac catheterization. We’re home to some of the most sophisticated imaging technology in the world. You learn under the guidance and supervision of interventional cardiologists and nurses at the top of their fields.
