Hands-on skills with: Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Servers, File Permissions, Security Certificates, Scripting, Exchange, Citrix, Nutanix, Hyper-V and VMware. This position will be focused on implementing projects that raise the overall reliability, performance and security of HEICO’s Infrastructure. Analyzes and resolves problems associated with server hardware and application software. Detects, diagnoses, and reports all system related problems on both local and data center systems. Recommends and installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Troubleshoots server performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan. Works with the design, development, implementation, and optimization of messaging systems. May run diagnostic tests to ensure systems are operating efficiently. Evaluates existing systems and/or user needs to analyze, design, recommend, and implement system changes. Maintains the integrity and reliability of datacenter environmental conditions and related equipment. Accountable for strictly adhering to all Policies, and Change Management Procedures. Responsible for functions as defined in the Server Support group (SSG) Responsibility Matrix. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Experience working in an enterprise server environment with Active Directory Domain Services (2008 R2 or higher) specializing in Group Policy, Domain Migration, and Domain Integration across a complex network of multiple domains containing over 5000+ users. * Proactive Monitoring for various database types, network and server issues to avoid unplanned outages. * Identifies and resolves server, network and software issues. * Maximize performance of systems; troubleshooting server problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with Team Members, and vendors. * Ensure that replication is functional for all Production-to-Disaster Recovery systems. * Installs, configures and maintains Linux operating systems (Red Hat) in the following ways: Installs and configures Linux systems including back-end databases and scripts. Performs system maintenance by reviewing error logs. * Install, configure and manage VMware virtualization environment components (ESXi, NSX). Provide Operation and Sustainment support for the virtualization environment. Ensure virtualization systems are compliant within required security standards. * Responsible for planning, configuration, and management of storage area networks, monitoring and performance tuning of the EMC and NetApp storage subsystems, and capacity planning and storage allocation forecasting for future growth. * Responsible for all aspects of Citrix design, performance-monitoring, tuning, scripting, upgrades and maintenance of all production Citrix systems. * Responsible for planning, configuration, and management of Microsoft Exchange server in a large Exchange environment including messaging systems, MS Active Sync (hand held devices), Active Directory, IIS, Spam/Anti-virus filtering, and Clustering. * Complete project assignments on time. * Conducts site visits to remote facilities to implement improvements, identify IT needs and resolve issues. * Willing to travel upon request. * Provide 24/7 support for critical situations (user or system notifications). * Participates in changes made during our scheduled maintenance windows. CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: * Systems and Data Center administration of physical and virtual server environment. * In Depth knowledge/troubleshoot skills in Hardware and Operating System problems. * In Depth Knowledge/Troubleshoot Skills in Windows, VMWare, and Linux platforms. * In Depth Knowledge/Troubleshoot Skills of Messaging and Collaboration systems, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Exchange Server and the Webex based platform. * Knowledge/Troubleshoot Skills in Windows Cluster Services * Knowledge/Troubleshoot Skills in Citrix technologies and platforms. * Knowledge/Troubleshooting Skills in LANs and WANs. * In Depth Knowledge/Troubleshoot Skills of Veritas Backup Exec, NetBackup and VEEAM backup solutions. * Practical Knowledge/Troubleshoot Skills of NAS and SAN Appliances. EDUCATION * Preferred 2 Year Technical Degree or Associates Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering; Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering preferred. EXPERIENCE * Must have a minimum of five years of hands on experience in a fast paced and dynamic environment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES Computer Skills: * Expert knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Applications and PowerShell scripting. * Software: Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, Microsoft Windows Server, VMware, Zerto, and Linux Operating Systems commands. * Cisco: Routing, Switching. * Monitoring Tools: OpManager, Solarwinds, Nagios, Splunk, Kiwi tools, and SIEM as a service. * SAN: NetApp SAN and EMC Unity SAN. Time Management: Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time efficiently. Ability to handle multiple projects and activities simultaneously ensuring correct priorities are assigned and initiatives are completed within resource constraints. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Problem Solving: Be open-minded to flexible solutions and have the initiative to engage in process and technology enhancements. Demonstrate ability to recognize, and react to situations with a sense of urgency and problem ownership, with a primary focus on customer service. Customer Service: High-energy, positive attitude, and always professional in all business dealings. Maintain a customer service relationship focus. Language: Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
