Sr Director, Donor Recruitment, – Mather, CA


This is a Contract position in Orlando, FL posted December 15, 2021.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:Under minimal direction, this position is responsible for developing and directing the district blood center’s strategic donor recruitment and marketing plan to achieve annual collection goals.

This position is responsible for management oversight of the department including budget, staffing administration, and all mobile/fixed site recruitment.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations.

Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.Assures quality customer service to all customers.Maintains good attendance and punctuality per the absence policy.Provides effective leadership to achieve high levels of service and product quality, financial results, and other criteria in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives.Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates performance of assigned personnel.

Identifies and effectively resolves personnel issues.Develops and implements a strategic recruitment plan, including territory alignment and goal setting that support the business units’ assigned goals.Ensures department follows system established recruitment SOPs, including projection accuracy, required booking levels, calendar management, territory planning, 12 week process.Develops and implements annual promotional calendar to support goal achievement, especially surrounding holidays and summer months.Collaborates with department staff and other Center departments to continually seek strategies to improve efficiencies, working conditions, customer satisfaction and resolve conflictsWorking with Collections, establishes business unit scheduling guidelines and insures proper resource allocation.Develops recruitment forecasts for the business unit by draw location on a monthly basis through the analysis and interpretation of market trends and historical performance data.Manages the reporting and resolution of deviations within department.Represents business unit on enterprise functional council, projects, and initiatives.Participates in the annual budget preparation and ensures adherence to approved department budget.Directs media planning and public relations within business unit.Represents the organization through personal contacts, public speaking engagements, and educational presentations.Develops and maintains effective communications and relations with key customers.

Customer relationship is proactive and on-going and may include new recruitment programs, services, and technologies.Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.Important Requirement: As an essential operation to the nation’s healthcare infrastructure and a science-based organization, Vitalant believes that being vaccinated helps provide protection and care for our employees, our donors, their families, and the broader community.
