Job Summary

As the Senior Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for the overall coordination of the human resources function.

This includes ensuring all state and federal laws, practices and regulations as well as organizational policies and practices are followed.

In addition, you will be responsible for all recruitment and benefits efforts on behalf of the company.

Responsibilities of the Sr.

Director of Human Resources :

  • Support management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions; analyzing information and solutions to ensure appropriate course of action is taken and documented
  • Serve as the point of contact for all personnel matters
  • Maintain performance management tracking; coordinate employee reviews with respective managers
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of all local, state, and federal laws, practices, and regulations that relate to the Human Resources field
  • Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal laws as well as anti-discrimination laws
  • Review, update and maintain the policies & procedures handbook for the organization
  • Maintain and update all organizational policies as needed (safety, security, sexual harassment, etc.)
  • Establishing and aligning human resource objectives in line with organizational objectives
  • Responsible for the day-to-day performance of the administration team
  • Responsible for recruitment efforts; including but not limited to preparing offer letters, conducting new hire paperwork meetings, background checks, testing as needed, etc.
  • Conducting E-Verify on all new hires
  • Oversee the design and development of compensation structures including creating change forms
  • Serve as the point of contact for high-level benefit negotiations with our benefits agent
  • Coordinate & work with finance department to facilitate annual benefit enrollments
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to benefit programs
  • Work with department managers and staff to implement long-term career goals within the company
  • Filing annual reports such as EEOC, 401k audit, 5500 (health & wellness and 401k), Affordable Care Act requirements, etc.
  • Submit unemployment claim information as needed
  • Continuing education to remain current in the latest laws applying to the Human Resources function

Qualifications of the Sr.

Director of Human Resources:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a Human Resources Management position
  • Computer proficiency including experience using Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills; must be proactive and take initiative to support executives
  • Ability to multi-task and work with frequent interruptions
  • Exceptional time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability professionalism and ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with annual reporting requirements including EEOC reports, 401k annual audits, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment, wage and salary laws and regulations including the Affordable Care Act
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
