Payroll Benefits Specialist

MGT Consulting Group is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to process payroll, administer benefits, and maintain the UKG HRIS system. The Generalist will be responsible for full cycle payroll processing, benefits administration, HR Reporting, and administering all aspects of the UKG system including reporting and implementation of new processes or modules. A strong candidate will have a strong customer-service orientation, respect for employee confidentiality, and a keen eye for systems and processes to improve, update, and sustain our HR practices for a growing team.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Process biweekly multi-state payroll processing for all employees
• Administer all benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and ancillary plans
• Assist HR Director with integration of acquired companies into MGT payroll and benefits
• Assist HR Director with creating a compensation matrix for all roles within MGT
• Manage end of year audit activities for benefit plans and
• Develop and analyze appropriate HR metrics, data, and trends to meet management information needs
• Identifies opportunities and recommends solutions for process improvement based on trends, best practices, and employment laws and regulations
• Administer and be the SME on the UKG system including optimizing processes, integrating new modules, and confirming data is accurate
• Update and maintain HR compliance programs; maintains other records, reports, filings, and logs to conform to EEO regulation, federal, state, and local employment laws

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Mathematics, or Business Administration
• Five (5) or more years’ experience within Human Resources or Finance with focus on payroll, benefits, and HRIS administration
• Experience with multi-state payroll administration, compensation, and benefits administration
• Strong experience managing an HRIS system including self-service configuration of modules and data management
• Knowledge of human resources, benefits and payroll laws including: EEO, AA, ACA requirements, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, and state/local payroll requirements
• Self-starter with the ability to work virtually and independently; strong desire to grow personally and professionally
• Proven analytical skills, including the ability to transform disparate pieces of information and summarize analysis into understandable, actionable reports, and recommendations
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite; Strong Excel Suite experience required including PivotTables, VLOOKUP and data tables
• Experience working effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, diverse, and dynamic environment
• Professional and a team player, ability to engage on all levels of the organization

PREFFERED QUALITIFICATIONS

• SHRM-CP and/or PHR Certifications preferred
• Seven (7) or more years’ experience within Human Resources or Finance with focus on payroll, benefits, and HRIS administration
• Experience with UKG
• Experience in a professional services or start-up environment preferred
• Candidate located in the Atlanta area and able to travel to the office 2-3 days a week.
