You will partner with the relevant leaders to understand business drivers and the current and long term strategy and to identify opportunities for HR to add value to the business.You will provide HR guidance & expertise in the areas of HR business support, employee relations, talent acquisition, diversity, equity, & inclusion, employee/manager coaching, talent management and engagement for multiple Commercial teams.

The role is a mix of operational and strategic business support with a goal of establishing credibility as a strategic partner, playing a consultative role to employees, managers and leaders.

This position reports dually to business and HR leaders for PAMP.This position reports toRegional Division Manager AmericasYour responsibilitiesClient Group: This position directly supports Marine and Ports leaders in the Americas organizationHR Business Partner: Serve as the first point of contact for employees & managers and provide leadership, coaching and support for individual employee needs & HR processesHR Consultation: Providing expertise and guidance in all areas of organization support, including: Strategic HR partnership with the Business Leaders and his/her direct reports to develop and execute both long term and short-term HR strategies that directly support and enable business objectivesHR Systems: This role includes hands on HR systems transactions, audit & reporting, ultimately with a focus on strategically leveraging data to drive insights & decisions.

Note: ABB US is currently implementing Workday, experience in Workday is a plusHR Project Management: Lead and manage HR projects & initiatives; provide outstanding customer service to client groups including HR.

Lead HR processes including but not limited to: annual Performance Development Appraisal (PDA), People Review Session (PRS) and annual salary review (ASR)Feedback & Coaching: Provide timely, effective and direct feedback & coaching to employees and managers, assisting in the development of world class, contemporary leadership skillsDEI & Engagement: Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive & diverse work environment; act as an employee advocate; help drive various business initiativesTalent Partnership: partner with leaders, managers and talent partners on workforce planning, hiring and headcount management.

Specific focus on diversity, consistent with ABB’s commitments to expand our diversity footprintEmployee Relations: Facilitate performance management process; when necessary conduct investigations, conflict resolution, employee communications and management coaching within client groupYour backgroundBachelors degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Psychology, Business or related field from an accredited university or college and minimum of 12 years (or MA and 10 years) of progressive HR business partnership experience, with at least 5 years of experience supporting a customer-facing organization (sales, service, customer support)MA/MBA degree in Business/HR or SPHR preferredDemonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and ability to gather and analyze information objectively and skillfully Commercial HR experience: knowledge of the people implications of a commercial organizationProven experience supporting an organization through transformation, including comfort with ambiguity and techniques to support change managementAbility or potential to understand the business and think strategically about people, organizational & cultural needs Willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and engage at all levels including HR systems and data analyticsProven ability to balance business partnership with employee advocacyExperience providing coaching and feedback to leaders and employees at all levels of the organizationStrong planning and organizational skills Strong judgment, decision making and influencing skillsIntermediate to advanced skill set in Microsoft office applicationsCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USBenefitsRetirement planLife insuranceMedical insuranceDisability insuranceWellbeing programMore about usABB Marine & Ports supplies world-leading technologies that are driving the evolution of sustainable shipping.
