Traveling Radiation Therapist (Benefits included)

This is a Full-time position in Orlando, FL posted May 16, 2022.

As a Traveling (Locum) Locum Radiation Therapist, you are responsible for delivering efficient and effective radiation treatment of a high quality.

This position is a clinical role that contributes to the delivery of efficient and effective radiation treatments.

Key areas for the role: Assist sites that need additional Radiation Therapist coverage in the daily treatment and simulation of patients.

This includes the proper documentation of all aspects of treatment in the applicable EMR.

Act as a fully functioning member of the local Radiation Therapy Department that you are providing coverage for.

Act in accordance with best practice indicators and company policies/procedures in patient care, quality, and safety.

Act as a representative of the GenesisCare purpose, values, and strategy.

Other requirements for this role: Ability to travel within 3-5 days of notification for assignment.

Ability to commit up to 13 weeks per assignment.

Ability to work any shift needed for office coverage to include split shifts if necessary.

Ability to apply for necessary state licenses required to work in many states.

Ability to travel to any GenesisCare, USA clinic location Reporting lines: As a Traveling (Locum) Radiation Therapist, you report directly to the Senior Radiation Therapist
– Travel Team Manager, or an otherwise agreed senior leader of the site you are supporting.

You have no direct or indirect reports.

Your key responsibilities: Clinical Practice Personally undertake radiation therapy treatment responsibilities and associated duties.

Promote and contribute to an effective multidisciplinary team at the relevant Center and across the practice.

Responsible for the correct administration of all radiation therapy processes and procedures.

Ensures that all administration and documentation requirements are initiated and completed in a professional and timely manner.

Patient Care Awareness of the need for a patient focus at all times.

Acts in a professional manner at all times Ensures established patient care standards are maintained Is responsible for monitoring the condition of patients and responding to their needs Treats all patients and their careers with respect and equality.

Maintains confidentiality on all issues.

Liaises with members of the health care team in the planning and delivery of patient services.

Ensures patients are provided with relevant material and information relating to radiation therapy.

Professional development Demonstrated experience and understanding of the need for continuation of professional development for self and others are a key requirement for this role, and strongly align to Genesis Cares focus on continuous improvement and the provision of efficient, high quality care.

Your key working relationships: As a Traveling (Locum) Locum Radiation Therapist, you need to develop strong relationships with the following internal and external parties: Center Leader Sr./Lead Therapist Staff Therapists All Doctors and local clinical and clerical staff Related external specialist doctors and healthcare staff.

In addition, you need to develop strong external relationships with various individuals/agencies/key stakeholders.

Experience: Demonstrated technical competence in all areas of radiation therapy at an appropriate level, including comprehensive knowledge of contemporary radiation therapy modalities and techniques.

Ability to demonstrate the ability to work in an effective team environment Strong empathy, interpersonal and communication skills Strong knowledge of radiation therapy and associated allied healthcare services Registration as a Radiation Therapist with ARRT and eligible for applicable state licenses.

Minimum Physical Capabilities: In order to be able to perform normal duties as a Radiation Therapist, the worker must be able to perform all of the following physical capabilities: Lifting up to 22 lbs.
