Full Job Description Medical Assistant in Surgical Setting Job Summary: The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the surgical clinic.

They support physicians and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.

The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Skills: Proven working experience as a Medical Assistant; national certification preferred Knowledge of basic medical terminology Experience assisting surgeon with procedures highly preferred
– suture, staple, and drain removal.

Friendly, polite, and professional Proficient with an EMR system (Electronic Medical Records) ideally Nextech Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong clinical skills Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software (Nextech preferred) Responsibilities and Duties: Medical assistant will act as both an administrator and healthcare professional, performing clinical duties and managing administrative tasks in medical office, procedure rooms, and surgery facility Clinical duties will include but not limited to patient intake, triaging patients, EMR chart documentation, medication knowledge, assisting with removal of sutures, staples and drains.

Administrative tasks may include: greeting patients and answering telephones, receiving and faxing orders, scanning, email communication, and vendor knowledge Scribing during patient visits Apply the principles, methods, and techniques of medicine to provide comprehensive treatment in plastic, reconstructive, cosmetics and hand surgery patients Work closely with the physician, patient care coordinators, and surgical team to ensure delivery of services and quality patient care The Medical Assistant adheres to the organization’s relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and other regulatory and accreditation standards Train new employees as needed Perform other responsibilities as assigned Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00
