Assembler II (Deltadyne DPTS)


This is a Contract position in New Port Richey, FL posted June 22, 2022.

First Shift Schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday Overtime and weekend work is routine POSITION OBJECTIVE Build basic components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies Essential Job Functions Produce basic components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies to blueprint and work instructions. Competency in performing the following tasks: a. Assembly indicator no bimetal. b. Operate arbor and hydraulic presses. c. Spin and assembly sub- assemblies. d. Magnetizing. e. Swage filters. f. Deltadyne test and proof assemblies. g. Testing of leaks within the assemblies. h. Microswitch sub-assemblies. i. Spot weld and weld. j. Test and proof housing. k. Assembly and set basic indicators. l. Assembly hex indicators, and indicators with valves. m. Assembly armatures. n. Installation of Lockwire / safety cable. o. Troubleshooting any issues that arise. p. Assembly of latch cones. q. Dielectric and insulate assemblies. r. Electrical bonding of assemblies. s. Set lever arm without and with bimetals. Understand and use measuring equipment. Complete all necessary paperwork as required including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers and data. • Work under the direction of supervisors or more experienced personnel with little supervision. Communicate ideas, problems, and concerns to management. Perform other tasks as assigned. Perform Kamishibai daily. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED). Minimum of one (1) year of related manufacturing operations experience. JOB SPECIFICATION Knowledge and usage of basic shop math. Computer literacy in MS Office (i.e. Excel, Data Entry). Must be able to work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals and mix them. Mechanical assembly or construction experience preferred. Ability to use microscopes. Must have strong analytical skills. Self-starter with history of innovation and creative problem solving. Work overtime as required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Bending, lifting, sitting, standing and twisting for long periods of time. Must past a basic vision test. Required to lift a minimum of 35 pounds. Lifting requirement: Daily. Good eye and hand dexterity. POSITION COMPETENCIES Maintain clean, neat and safe work area. Attendance and punctuality is an essential part of this position. A high level of ethics shall be maintained at all times. A positive and professional attitude shall be maintained at all times. Must have good interpersonal skills (verbal and written). Delivers quality results within required deadlines. Work safely following all safety procedures. Must wear all PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) when performing tasks. Must be detail-oriented. Participate in a minimum of one (1) Kaizen event per year. OTHER REQUIREMENTS This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required.
