Position Summary The Receptionist/Secretary serves as an ambassador to the assisted living program and supports the Director in meeting responsibilities for overall administration of the program/facility.

This position does not require frequent travel; however, there may be occurrences where local off-site travel may be required.

This position requires the ability to understand and follow policies and procedures of infection control, disaster preparedness, safety rules, regulation, and facility rules.

All responsibilities will be conducted in a manner that is consistent with the assisted living philosophy.

The duties and responsibilities of the position are to be carried out in a manner that is consistent with the mission, values and operating principles of Bon Secours.

Position Qualifications Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience in a receptionist capacity with multi-line phone system experience preferred.

The incumbent must have the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of personalities.

The incumbent must also be able to work with constant interruptions, and possess a customer service mentality.

Other qualifications are: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language effectively; must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during emergency situations; must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public; must be a minimum of 18years of age and of good moral character; must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines; must possess a cheerfulpersonality and be able to work harmoniously with other personnel; must possess the ability to minimize waster of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.; must be able to follow written and oral instructions; must be able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.

Education & Licenses: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
