POSITION SUMMARY

Grant Thornton’s Strategy and Transactions (S&T) practice is focused globally on middle-market transactions, serving dynamic organizations with experienced professionals who bring a full range of advisory services to validate, optimize and create value.

Our S&T practice is comprised of several integrated capabilities that support our clients' needs throughout the transaction lifecycle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Effectively manage existing client relationships to enhance client satisfaction

Effectively manage the consulting practice fundamentals (i.e.

realization, utilization, leverage, accounts receivable, and expenses)

Successfully integrate industry initiatives with local office strategy

Provide technical expertise in the areas of regulations, market practices, trends, economic factors, risk identification, and process improvement recommendations

Assist in the recruiting and development of qualified transaction services individuals utilizing the defined process

Attract substantial new private equity clients, strategic buyers and similar organizations

Significantly expand the number of portfolio companies for which the firm provides annuity type services.

Become the alternative in the marketplace to the Big 4 for M&A Financial Diligence and transations to these entities and the premier firm focused on middle market transactions.

Implement the standard service methodology for M&A Financial Diligence including standard arrangements, deliverables, documentation standards and quality control procedures.

Understand the firm capabilities and assist in developing a broader basket of services to include in addition to financial and tax due diligence, tax structuring, technology system assessment, employment and benefit analysis, post-merger integration and process improvement and modeling/valuation services.

Recruit, develop, mentor, lead and inspire professionals to their fullest potential

Qualifications
– External
13+ years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or fun ction, servicing cross-industry clients at a national level

Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field is required.

A Master's degree is a plus.

CPA or related license/certification is strongly preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Solid experience in the following: accounting, audit or transaction advisory services.

Strong current knowledge in US GAAP, GAAS, SEC Reporting, transaction advisory services or mergers and acquisitions.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects in a rapidly growing practice.

Strong leadership, business development, recruitment, training, and mentoring skills.

Prior relevant consulting experience required
Ability to travel on short notice and work additional hours as necessary.

This position can be based in our Fort Laudedale or Chicago office.
